Phone Research Examples:
Client #1 wanted to confirm an industry rumor regarding the sale of a food plant located in the Central United States. Through contacts and sources JTF Research has developed, we confirmed that in fact, the plant was not being sold, but rather was facing an impending closure of the facility. During the course of our investigations, we also learned of all the factors surrounding the facility’s demise.
Client #2 was launching a new computer component which could be bundled into a complete PC package. JTF Research was asked to contact decision-makers at major PC manufacturers for their views on the potential for this add-on component. We probed issues like: size, color, functionality, power, positioning, user interest and knowledge as well as buyers’ decision process for these components. The information JTF Research retrieved was useful in assisting our client to properly position and market their add-on product to computer manufacturers.
Client #3 had become interested in a strategy of growth through acquisition. JTF Research was requested to first profile a group of target firms, and then conduct in-depth interviews with sources knowledgeable with those companies of particular interest.
