Additional Services Examples

International Research

Client #1 was interested in forming alliance partnerships with U.S. companies in the Middle East within three business categories: Internet Services, Plumbing Fixtures and Health Food Products. JTF Research assisted our client on several fronts: we identified potential partners, profiled those firms’ capabilities and set-up meetings for our client with the selected companies.

Additionally, we helped our Middle Eastern client develop and tailor a marketing and sales presentation regarding their capabilities, so that their strengths would be understandable to U.S. firms considering this joint venture.

Client #2 was considering entering and launching their business into an Asian country. Our client had little knowledge or understanding of the culture and how business was conducted in the targeted market. JTF Research, through our international associates, developed a complete blueprint of how to work in this foreign environment. We profiled all aspects of the nation, identified potential alliance partners in the country, and then profiled them. This was accomplished through a combination of secondary and phone research, and provided our client with a wealth of knowledge with which to weigh their options.

Global Product Pick-up™

Two examples will illustrate our capability in this arena. Client #1 heard that a new “fabric cleaning product” was in test market somewhere in the U.S., but they didn’t know where. JTF Research identified the market, located the product and obtained and sent samples to the client, all in a matter of a few days time.

Client #2 approached JTF Research with an international assignment. As they were in the early stages of product development, they desired samples of certain healthcare products from Europe and Asia. Through our international associates, we scanned the markets for targeted products, and then retrieved and shipped them to the client in order to meet their product development schedule.

Translation Services

Client #1 had a new product concept that they wanted to launch into the United States. The product was unique to North America and so it was important to establish how well this foreign idea would be received in the U.S. JTF Associates translated all important information into English and researched the concept for our international client. During the course of the research, several key issues were identified that required modification for American acceptance.

Client #2 wanted to test label and instructional readability and content in a European country. JTF Associates’ experts conducted skilled and accurate language translations, which we tested in-market prior to the new product’s launch. A few modifications were made, and then the product went forward to market.
